How much does padel cost in the UK?

Padel is usually priced per court, not per player, so splitting the cost four ways makes a big difference. Here are typical UK prices from independent trackers, as of autumn 2026. Prices vary widely by venue and time, so treat these as typical, not quotes.

Why does padel cost what it does?
Courts are expensive to build and run. Using the LTA's delivered-project figures, Playskan's lowest estimate for converting an indoor space is £32,000 to £36,000 per court, for the court and lights alone and before land, VAT and fees. Source: Playskan: UK padel market report. Oxygen Consulting's research suggests players will pay more for weather protection, better facilities and a good overall experience, and less for an uncovered outdoor court. How to pay less
- Play off-peak. In almost every city we looked at, the median peak price was higher than the off-peak one, in Leeds and Bristol by more than half. Source: Padel Index: Padel court prices in the UK.
- Split the court four ways rather than playing singles.
- Hire a racket until you know what you like.
- Look out for public courts. The LTA says it's working with the UK Government on funding for publicly owned courts, with pilot projects planned (our report). Source: PadelNation: LTA marks World Padel Day as Britain reaches 1.5m players.
