Who we are. This website is run by Off The Glass ("we"). For anything about your data, email [email protected].

What we collect

When you use our video submission form we collect your name, email address, Instagram or TikTok handle (if you give one), venue or town, your description, and your video (an uploaded file or a link). To prevent spam, our server also briefly uses your IP address to limit repeat submissions. It is stored only in hashed form and cleared within 24 hours.

How we use it

We use these details only to review your submission, to contact you about it, and to credit you if we post your video. We don't sell your data or use it for marketing.

Our lawful basis

Under UK GDPR, we rely on your consent (the permission you give when you tick the box on the form) and our legitimate interest in reviewing submissions and keeping the form free of spam.

Who sees it

Submissions are emailed to us and uploaded files are stored on our web host. Our hosting and email provider and Cloudflare, which delivers this website, process data on our behalf. If we post your video, the video and the credit you asked for (your name or handle) become public on our website and social channels.

How long we keep it

Only as long as we need it. We aim to delete videos we don't use, and the emails that came with them, within 90 days. If we post your video, we keep a record of your permission for as long as it stays up.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, object to or restrict how we use it, or withdraw your permission at any time (we'll then take down your video). Email [email protected]. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

This site doesn't set its own tracking or advertising cookies, and our fonts are hosted on our own server. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie.
